Restart PC

This train doesn’t stop there any more

The train was old and rustic. It’s true colour was barely visible. There were scars all over it’s body and the whole shape was disformed. Most of the seats were broken or just too bad to sit on. The windows were dirty and some of them couldn’t even open. It was the oldest train,that was still useful even though all the years it served. Every time it appeared people looked at it because of the horrible sounds coming from the wheels. It was a big pile of rust. It gathered passengers from the big towns and spread them all over the countryside. There were a lot of villages that the train visited and there were always people to leave on each stop. All except one.Nobody was leaving in the smallest village. It was a really small town surrounded by forests and hills. But why did the train stop there, even though there was nobody to get on or get off the train? Some of the passengers even asked why are they wasting their time. It was because of the old man. Every single day there was a short, poorly dressed old man waiting for the train.But he didn’t get on. He always looked at the train and asked if there’s somebody who is getting off. Passengers hated him. It was the same question every day. He lived in a wooden cabin near the train station.
And today wasn’t an exception. The train appeared from the woods and stopped on the station. He got close and asked if somebody is getting off. One passenger got up from the seat and asked the man why does he ask this stupid question every single day. The old man as always said he is waiting for someone. He turned around and went back home. It was really cold today. He sat near the fireplace and looked at a picture on it. It was a picture of a young girl. He was there too. He got in his bed and closed his eyes. Today was a very cold day. He looked at the picture again. It was getting colder. He closed his eyes and let the cold spread over his body.
The next week a well dressed woman got on the train and asked if it departs on the small forest village. A passenger responded:

-This train doesn’t stop there any more.

!!! See the last sentence first!!!
The TileDataLayer folder is placed at C:\users\'username'\AppData\Local

1. Create a new account on the PC. (eg. Test.Account) (Or log in as different account that doesn't have the same issue)
2. Login as the new account.
3. Reboot the PC.(I haven't do that)
4. Login as an administrator (NOT the affected account or the new account)
5. Copy the vedatamodel.edb file from the new test account to the account that is having issues, overwrite the file. (I copied the all database folder)
6. Reboot the PC. (I haven't do that)
7. Login to the PC as the account having issues.
8. It should now be the default start menu layout.

!!! In last several cases I just restart the Windows explorer from Task Manager and the problem disappears. !!!
Also you can try: cmd as admin; sfc /scannow; restart. It fixed the problem once on 14.01.2019

Share a Wired Internet Connection in Windows 8 and make it wi-fi hot-spot

Unfortunately, Windows 8 stripped away the graphical interface for setting up an ad-hoc network, so it’s not quite as easy to set up as it is in Windows 7 or 10. The underlying feature is still present, though. You just have to resort to a little command line trickery.

First, you’ll need to make sure your existing wireless network is shared with other network users. Press Windows+R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box, type “ncpa.cpl”, and then hit Enter.
In the network connections window, right-click your Wireless network and select “Properties” from the context menu.

Switch over to the “Sharing” tab and enable the “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection” checkbox. Go ahead and clear the “Allow other network users to control or disable the shared Internet connection” checkbox while you’re at it and then click the “OK” button.

Next, you’ll need to launch the Command Prompt with administrative privileges. Right-click in the bottom left of your screen (or hit Windows+X) and then select “Command Prompt (Admin)” on the Power Users menu that appears.
With the command prompt open, your next step is to set up the wireless network using the netsh like so:

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid="SSID" key="PASSWORD"

Where SSID is the name of your network and PASSWORD is the password you want users to connect with. The access point is created with WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption.

Next, you’ll start broadcasting our network with the following command:

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

And at any time, you can use this last command to show information about the connection. It lists things like the channel your connection uses, ssid name, authentication type, radio type, and the number of clients connected to your network.

netsh wlan show hostednetwork

When you’re done, you should be able to connect any Wi-Fi device to your new ad-hoc network.
